Are You Thomas or Peter?

After being resurrected, the Lord Jesus appeared to the disciples for 40 days. During that time, various little things happened between the Lord Jesus and the disciples. Among them, there are two things that are very worthy of our seeking the Lord’s intention. For they are related to whether our faith can be praised by the Lord. One thing is that Thomas didn’t believe that the Lord Jesus was resurrected until he saw the nails marks of the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus said to doubting Thomas,“Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Thus, Thomas’ little faith was convicted by the Lord Jesus. Another thing is that the Lord Jesus made demands of Peter and commissioned him to do some things. The Lord Jesus asked Peter three times: “Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? …” Why did the Lord ask Peter the question so many times, but did not ask the other disciples? Why did the Lord speak completely different things to Peter and Thomas? Few people seek the Lord’s intention here. What is the difference between Peter’s faith and Thomas’? Are you willing to walk the path of Thomas or that of Peter?

Especially at this critical moment when the Lord returns, many people are testifying that the Lord has returned. Do you desire to believe only when you see God standing in front of you as Thomas did, or are you willing to imitate Peter in following God immediately we hear the voice of God? What choice should you make?

Earthquakes, plagues, famines, floods and other disasters are happening frequently. This is a sign of the Lord’s coming. Many brothers and sisters are afraid of being deceived by false Christs while praying for the Lord’s return. So, how should we discern the true Christ from false Christs?
