Nowadays, many people are bearing witness online that the Lord Jesus’ return is to become flesh in the last days. Some people think that this has no basis in the Bible, so they do not seek or investigate God’s work of the last days. But in fact, there are many scriptures in the Bible predicting that the Lord will return in the flesh. For instance, the Lord Jesus said, “Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not.” (Luke 12:40). “ But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:37). “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.” (Luke 17:24–25).

“The Son of man” mentioned here refers to the incarnation of God. The incarnate Lord Jesus was called the Son of man and Christ because He was the incarnate flesh of God’s Spirit and so became an ordinary and normal man, living in the company of other men. It is precisely because the God in the flesh is as normal and ordinary as humans from the outward appearance that many people did not acknowledge the Lord Jesus as God and then even slandered and condemned Him, and finally nailed Him on the cross. Therefore, “the Son of man comes” and “the coming of the Son of man” mentioned in the prophecies refer to God becoming flesh when He returns in the last days.

If God came among clouds, everyone would bow down and worship Him and no one would dare to resist and convict Him. Then the prophecy “first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” would not come true.
