Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). From the verse we can see that as Christians, we should pursue to cast off our corruption and be purified as so to see the Lord, because the Lord is holy. The following verses about holiness will help us get a better understanding of God’s will.

1 Peter 1:15
But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16
Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy.

Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
