And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

Through Jesus’ words, we understand that if we have faith in God and rely on His power, then nothing shall be impossible for us. Just as it is recorded in the Bible: A woman had an issue of blood and she believed Jesus could heal her. When Jesus passed by her, she touched the border of His garment and got over the disease. It turns out that it’s so important to have true faith in the Lord Jesus. Now, when many brothers and sisters can’t iron out their problems, they don’t rely on God because they have no knowledge of His authority and power. Sometimes, they would think: Will God really help us? In this situation, we can’t help but ask: How to have true faith?

God says, “First, you must learn how to apply God’s word and experience God’s word in all things. Go taste and experience every word spoken by God and His every requirement of humankind. Go see whether what God says is really the case; you must prove it, and in the process of proving it you will unconsciously discover that every word God speaks is very true and clear and can clearly and truly supply your life. It can guide your daily life. It is your path. It is the direction of your life. As you experience this process, you are actually using your own experiences and impressions to prove that the words God has spoken are truth and are the life of humankind. The more you prove that, the greater will be your faith in God. Have you experienced this? (We have experienced this.) If you are unable to experience this, then your faith in God is stuck on the words, and those are empty.” From God’s words we can understand that if we want to have true faith in God, we need to experience God’s words and deeds in real life. In everything we encounter, we should taste God’s sovereignty and guidance with our hearts and see how His words are accomplished. When we confirm God’s authority again and again in the depths of our hearts, we will develop true faith in God and obey His sovereignty.
