Now the disaster is growing in scale; the signs of the Lord Jesus’ return have appeared. Did you know? The Lord has returned, and many Christians have already greeted the Lord by seeking and investigating. However, some believers do not seek or investigate after hearing the news of the Lord’s return. They do not believe unless they can see the Lord Jesus descending upon clouds. Is this viewpoint the same as Thomas? During the Lord Jesus’ work in the flesh, Thomas didn’t believe that the Lord Jesus is Christ. When Thomas heard someone saying that the Lord Jesus had been resurrected, he still didn’t believe it. He had to personally saw the nails marks of the Lord before he would believe. So the Lord Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Doubting Thomas believed by sight, and finally lost the blessing of the Lord. The story of Thomas is a warning to each and every one of us who yearn for the Lord to return. If we rely only on our eyes and do not seek the returned Lord’s work and words with regard to greeting the Lord, would we not be committing the same mistake as Thomas? If this carries on, we will be apt to lose God’s end-time salvation and be abandoned and eliminated by God. It is therefore clear that if we want to greet the Lord, then it is absolutely crucial that we learn the lessons of Thomas’ failure in believing in God and avoid walking the same mistaken path as Thomas!
