Only by Listening for the Words of the Returned Lord Can We Greet Him
We have known from yesterday’s post that the Lord has come in the flesh and carried out the work to save man in the last days. So how should we welcome the Lord then?
The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27). It is also prophesied in the Book of Revelation, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27).
Almighty God says, “Since we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances — because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist. In seeking God’s footprints, you have ignored the words ‘God is the truth, the way, and the life.’ And so, many people, even when they receive the truth, do not believe that they have found God’s footprints, and still less do they acknowledge the appearance of God. What a grave mistake!”
We can see that the Lord speaks words to look for His sheep in the last days and that God’s sheep focus on seeking and investigating from God’s words. When they hear some people testifying that the Lord has come back and expressed all the truth that saves man, they hurry to listen to these words and see whether they are the truth, the voice of God. Once they recognize the voice of God, they then accept and follow. This is what it means to follow God’s footsteps and receive the Lord.
