Revealing the Mystery: How Will the Lord Jesus Return?

In the last days, receiving the Lord Jesus’ return and dining at the marriage supper of the Lamb is the greatest hope of every believer in the Lord. The Bible says, “[T]hey shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). Based on this verse, many people believe that when the Lord returns, He will definitely come openly with clouds and appear to all peoples. Now, natural and man-made disasters occur frequently all over the world. From various signs, we can see that the prophecies of the coming of the Lord have basically been fulfilled, so it stands to reason that the Lord should return. But why haven’t we seen His descending on a cloud to appear to all peoples? In fact, if we study the Bible closely, it is not hard to see that the Lord has a way of returning other than with clouds. The Bible prophesies: “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6). “Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not” (Luke 12:40). “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24–25). These prophecies mention “as a thief,” “at midnight there was a cry made,” and “the Son of man comes.” When “as a thief” and “at midnight there was a cry made” are mentioned, it means that the Lord will come secretly. And the “Son of man” refers to a man who is born of man, and who has a normal humanity. If it referred to the Spirit, then it wouldn’t say the “Son of man.” From these prophecies, we can clearly see that when the Lord returns, He will become flesh as the Son of man and descend in secret. The Bible predicts there are two ways in which the Lord shall return. So, how exactly will the prophecies of the Lord’s return be fulfilled?
