John 10:27 — Hearing God’s Voice
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
Those who follow the Lord Jesus can follow Him because of hearing His voice and knowing that He is the true God. The Lord is the Shepherd and we are sheep in the meadow. With the guidance of Lord’s words, we won’t get lost. Moreover, it is recorded in Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” This prophecy shows us that God will utter His words in the last days. Thus, recognizing God’s voice is of concern to us whether we can welcome the second coming of Jesus.
Then, how can we recognize God’s voice? In fact, there is a unique characteristic when He speaks. After we grasp the following four principles, it will not be difficult to recognize God’s voice.
1. The word expressed by God is the truth. It can be man’s life, supply their needs and give man a path to follow.
2. God’s utterance is the expression of His disposition, with authority and power.
3. The word expressed by God can reveal the mysteries in God’s management work.
4. God’s word can reveal man’s corruptions, minds and thoughts.
