When it comes to greeting the Lord, there are two very important verses in the Bible. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). And it is prophesied 7 times in Revelation: “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” It can be seen that when the Lord returns, He will speak words to look for God’s sheep. So the most crucial thing to welcome the Lord is to listen to God’s voice! But when someone bears witness to us that the Lord has come in secret and uttered words to do a step of new work, some people even say, “Do not listen or believe lest you will be deceived.” Some people don’t seek or investigate after hearing this. Is this in accordance with the teaching of the Lord? The Lord Jesus reminded us many times: To greet the Lord, we should listen to the voice of God. But we blindly listen to the words of man and Satan instead of seeking to hear the voice of God. Can we greet the Lord in this way? In the beginning, Eve listened to Satan’s words rather than listened to God, which caused her to be driven from the Garden of Eden by God; in the Age of Grace, the Jewish people did not listen to the Lord Jesus, nor did they determine whether the Lord Jesus is the coming Messiah according to the truth expressed by the Lord Jesus. Instead, they merely listened to the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees, followed them in resisting the Lord. Consequently, they were punished and cursed by the Lord… The failures of all these people are a reminder to us: In welcoming the Lord, if we do not listen to God’s voice but only listen to Satan’s voice, we can only be abandoned and eliminated by the Lord!

Now we are already in the last days, and various disasters are coming down one after another. It is a critical moment to greet the Lord’s return. The Lord Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.” (Mat 7:7–8). It can be seen that only when we actively seek to listen to the voice of God can we have the opportunity to greet the Lord and obtain God’s salvation of the last days.
