The Lord Has Already Returned Rather Than Coming Soon
Nowadays, all kinds of disasters like famines, earthquakes, and locusts plague have become a common occurrence. Especially, the pandemic and floods are now growing in scale. All these signs have precisely fulfilled the prophecies of the Lord’s return. 2,000 years ago, the disciples asked the Lord Jesus, “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matthew 24:3). The Lord Jesus answered, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:7–8).
When we see disasters frequently occur, it shows that the Lord has already come back rather than coming soon. Hearing this, perhaps you will be confused: If the Lord has come back, why have we not yet seen the Lord come with clouds? This is because the Lord Jesus returns in secret first, just as prophesied in the Book of Revelation, “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come on you” (Revelation 3:3). When it comes to “as a thief,” it means the Lord comes in secretly and quietly, unknown by anyone. Even if we see the Lord, we can’t recognize Him. Now that God has already descended among us secretly, how should we welcome Him?
