Jesus knocking at the door

While eagerly awaiting the Lord’s return, many Christians met such a question: The Lord Jesus prophesied, “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24–25). When the Lord comes, all people should happily welcome the Lord and nobody would dare resist. How could the Lord be rejected by this generation? What’s on earth going on?

Brothers and sisters, let’s take a look at several Bible verses first. The Lord Jesus prophesied, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). “Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes” (Matthew 24:44). These prophecies all mention the Son of man descends or the Son of man comes. When it comes to the Son of man, it refers to One who is born to a human and has normal humanity just like the Lord Jesus. From the Lord’s prophecies, we can see that the Lord will appear to man as the Son of man in the last days. When the Son of man descends, nobody can recognize Him from His normal and ordinary appearance, so people dare to resist Him openly and deny God’s return and the entire generation will reject Him. When we hear the news of the Lord’s return in the flesh, we must investigate it carefully rather than condemn it blindly to avoid resisting God and offending God’s disposition and missing the chance of being raptured into the kingdom of heaven.

Many people are publicly testifying online that the Lord Jesus has returned. However, some people believe that when the Lord returns, no one will know about it, because it’s recorded in the Bible: “But of that day and hour knows no man.” If it’s true that no one will know the time of the Lord’s return, then how can we welcome the Lord? What is the true meaning of “no one knows the day or the hour”? Has the Lord come back? Read this text to learn.
