Do You Know the Wisdom of Investigating the True Way?
It is now the crucial moment of welcoming the Lord. In all the world, only The Church of Almighty God is testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned as Almighty God, Christ of the last days, who expresses what the Holy Spirit says to the churches and performs the work of judgment beginning in God’s house. But when they see the CCP government and the pastors and elders of the religious world condemning The Church of Almighty God, many people believe that it is not the true way, and so they do not seek it or look into it. If we investigate the true way without seeking God’s will, but instead focus on the attitude held by the religious world and the Chinese government, is this the wisdom we should have when investigating the true way? What exactly is the wisdom of investigating the true way? How can we investigate the true way in order to be able to welcome the Lord? We will now explore these issues through fellowship.
The Wisdom of Investigating the True Way (1)
Some people believe that before they investigate the true way, they must first see what assessment the religious world and the national government make of it. They think that, if the religious world and the powers that be condemn and persecute it, then it cannot possibly be the true way. But does this interpretation accord with God’s will, and is it in line with the facts? Two thousand years ago, no sooner had the incarnated Lord Jesus been born than He was hunted by King Herod. After the Lord Jesus had formally begun His work, the chief priests, scribes and Pharisees of the religious world frantically resisted and condemned Him; they did everything they could to find fault with the Lord Jesus, and they judged and slandered Him, saying that He spoke blasphemies. They also spread rumors amongst the common Jewish folk, condemned the way of the Lord Jesus as heresy, and ultimately colluded with the Roman authorities to crucify Him — these are universally acknowledged facts. If we try to reach any conclusion based on our own views, believing that any way condemned by the national government and the religious world cannot be the true way, are we not then also condemning the Lord Jesus? It is obvious that this is not the right path to take to investigate the true way.
In fact, if we contemplate and seek in earnest, then we will see in the facts of the Lord Jesus’ persecution the wisdom we should have in investigating the true way. The Lord Jesus said long ago, “This is an evil generation” (Luke 11:29). “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). Satan holds sway over this world and all mankind lives under its domain. No one welcomes the arrival of the true God and the world tries to banish the existence of light — how then could the arrival of the true God amidst man not be rejected by this evil generation? When the Lord Jesus appeared and performed His work, He was persecuted and condemned by the entire Jewish religious community and the Roman authorities, yet no matter how they persecuted and cruelly tortured Him, or how they did their utmost to stop Him, the Lord Jesus’ gospel still spread like wildfire, thus entirely proving that “Since ancient times, the true way has always been persecuted” and “What comes from God shall thrive.” Therefore, the more a way is furiously condemned by the satanic regime and the religious world, the more we should seek and investigate it to see whether this way has the work of the Holy Spirit and whether it comes from God. Only this is the wisdom we should have when investigating the true way.
The Church of Almighty God is now testifying openly that the Lord Jesus has returned as Almighty God, the Christ of the last days. If we see the CCP government and pastors and elders of the religious world condemning Almighty God and so choose not to seek and investigate this way, then doesn’t that make us highly likely to miss our chance to welcome the Lord? Ever since Almighty God appeared and began His work in 1991, He has suffered the frenzied condemnation and persecution of the CCP atheist government and the religious world, thus precisely fulfilling the Lord Jesus’ prophecy: “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17: 24–25). But the true way has always been persecuted since ancient times and what comes from God must thrive, and no matter how the CCP government and pastors and elders might condemn and resist Him, Almighty God’s gospel of the last days has spread throughout the Chinese mainland, with many millions of people having accepted the gospel of Almighty God. The words expressed by Almighty God — The Word Appears in the Flesh — have long been online, and many lovers of the truth from countries all over the world who yearn for God to appear have gone online to seek and investigate Almighty God’s work of the last days. The work and words of Almighty God therefore flash like lightning from the East into the West, and churches to Almighty God have been established in many countries besides China, thereby precisely fulfilling the Lord Jesus’ words when He said, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). The kingdom gospel of Almighty God is spreading quickly under severe oppression, and this is the ironclad proof of the Holy Spirit at work, just as when the Lord Jesus did His work. If we can truly understand that the true way has always been persecuted since ancient times, and that what comes from God must thrive, then when we investigate The Church of Almighty God, we will no longer be constrained or controlled by the words of condemnation spoken by the religious world and the CCP satanic regime. Meanwhile, we should take the initiative to seek and investigate it, as only this is the wisdom we should have when investigating the true way, and only by doing this will we be able to welcome the Lord.
The Wisdom of Investigating the True Way (2)
Besides confirming that the true way has always been persecuted since ancient times and that what comes from God must thrive, there is another, more important aspect we must understand regarding the wisdom we should have when investigating the true way. The Lord Jesus once prophesied, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). And the Book of Revelation prophesies, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). God says, “Since we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances — because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist.”
These words show us that when the Lord returns in the last days, He will express many more truths and use His words to knock at the doors to our hearts. All who hear God’s voice and are able to accept and obey it are the wise virgins who can join the Lord at His feast. When we investigate the true way, therefore, it is imperative that we take heed to listen to God’s voice to see whether this way has expressions of truth and whether God Himself is speaking. This is the other aspect of wisdom to investigating the true way. Because God is the truth, the way, and the life, because His words are immutable truths, and because the words God expresses are the expressions of His essence, the manifestations of His disposition, and the words that could never be expressed by any human being, when we are investigating the true way, therefore, so long as we are sure that this way has the expressions of truth and that it can bring us the way and the life, then it is the work and words of God, it is the appearance of God, and by accepting and submitting to it, we are then welcoming the Lord’s return. When the Lord Jesus performed His work, for example, Peter, John, Nathaniel, and the others were able to welcome the Messiah because they took heed to listen to God’s voice. When they heard the authority and power in the Lord Jesus’ words, when they saw that the Lord could fully explain many mysteries and see into the heart of man, and that He was always able to resolve people’s problems and difficulties, they then recognized the Lord Jesus as the Messiah, and ultimately followed Him and received His salvation. Conversely, the scribes and Pharisees in the religious world did not take heed to listen to God’s voice, and no matter how authoritative and powerful the Lord Jesus’ words were, they still chose not to seek or investigate His work, and they wildly resisted and condemned the Lord. In the end, they had Him nailed to the cross, and so they were cursed and punished by God. The common Jewish folk, meanwhile, also chose not to seek to hear God’s voice, but just blindly believed what the leaders of the religious community said. They went along with the Pharisees and resisted God, and so ultimately lost the salvation of God forever. These lessons of history show us that if we want to investigate the true way and welcome the return of the Lord in the last days, then we have to take heed to listen to God’s voice and search for what the Holy Spirit says to the churches. Only this is the wisdom and the path to investigating the true way. When we hear the utterances of the Holy Spirit, are we not then hearing God’s voice and welcoming the Lord?
Throughout the whole world, only The Church of Almighty God is now openly testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned, and that He has expressed millions of words and is performing the work of judgment beginning with the house of God. This precisely fulfills the Lord Jesus’ prophecies: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). “He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). The words expressed by Almighty God — The Word Appears in the Flesh — have long been published online for all who long for the truth and are looking for the appearance of God to seek and investigate. These words not only uncover the mystery of God’s six-thousand-year management plan, the mystery of the incarnations, the inside story and substance of the three stages of work, and the significance of God’s names, they also tell us how Satan corrupts man, how God saves man one step at a time, how God’s work of judgment in the last days cleanses, changes and perfects man, what destinations and ends await the various kinds of people, how we should seek to live out a genuine human likeness, how we can be honest people, how we can be faithful and obedient to God, how we can seek to attain full salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven, and more. By listening to God’s voice, and by seeing that the words of Almighty God are the truth, that they possess authority and power, and are the words of God, people from all religions and denominations who yearn for God to appear are now returning before the throne of God, one after another. So by reading Almighty God’s words more, we will know whether they are the voice of God, and whether Almighty God is God’s appearance at work.
All told, there are two aspects to the wisdom we should possess when investigating the true way: One is to understand that the true way has always been persecuted since ancient times, that everything that comes from God must thrive, and that the more a way is persecuted, the more we should seek and investigate it; the more important aspect is that, while we seek and investigate the true way, we must take heed to listen to God’s voice and seek and investigate God’s current work and words. When we can possess these two aspects of wisdom to investigating the true way, we will then know that we cannot lose our way. Instead, we will be able to hear God’s voice, follow His footsteps, welcome the returned Lord, and receive God’s salvation in the last days.
